Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept health insurance plans?

I am an “Out of Network (OON) provider”, which means that I am not in-network with any insurance company but can provide superbills to clients who have OON benefits through their health insurance. I provide all clients with an itemized receipt of services that you can submit to your insurance company.

We’ve partnered with Nirvana Health, a company that advocates on behalf of therapy seekers, to provide transparency into your out-of-network benefits so that you have greater insight into what reimbursement is possible with your plan.

Use our Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator to estimate how much you can expect to pay for out-of-network therapy.

Do you offer both virtual and in-person appointments?

All clients have the option for virtual therapy. For clients who would like to meet in person, I have limited openings for office visits. If interested, please inquire about specific day and time availability. I am currently seeing clients in Massachusetts, New York.

How long does therapy typically last?

This varies widely based on each client’s needs and the specific treatment needed. Typically, evidence-based treatments are shorter in duration than your talk therapy treatments.

What types of clients do you see?

I typically see adolescents, young adults, and adults with various anxiety and OCD related disorders. For the most part, I conduct individual psychotherapy, but when family work or parent coaching is needed I employ this as well.

Where does the client need to be located during sessions?

Dr. Dennis is licensed in New York, Massachusetts, and Florida. Therefore, the client needs to be located in one of those states to work with Dr. Dennis.
